CST 300 Weekly Journal #7

 Part One

We made plans to divide each other with a task for the final video project. All the team members agreed it would be easier to divide each one of us into two or three sides and then use Google Slides to put everything together while we are still working separately and come together to meet again. I would probably prepare for it earlier next time because other assignments with this project make it hard to focus.

Part Two

This week's lecture readings showed a video on a TED talk and a few articles that talked about many things.  The video talked about AI, and boosting productivity, as well as a PowerPoint called Life After Death, and an article called Visual Aid and Props. The AI video basically goes over how AI is changing the world today and how advanced it's becoming. Furthermore, a few ethical standpoints using AI have caused or will cause soon. Then, the presentation about boosting productivity explained how important it is to have awareness and be observant to enhance your productivity. Next, Don McMillan in Life After Death by PowerPoint showed the mistakes one can make with creating PowerPoint. For example, how it's not wise to put a lot of text on one slide, and doing so makes it seem boring and dull. Lastly, the article Visual Aids and Props gave me a lot of info on the basics of using visual aids and props when presenting and how using handouts can prevent your audience from losing interest in your presentation.
